1.ASTRA Museum of Folkloric Traditional Civilization located near Sibiu is the second largest open air museum in the world and the largest one in Europe stretching across 96 hectars. This museum features more than 300 traditional households  as well as wooden churches,  watermills and windmills, representing  different vernacular  architectural styles of historical regions of Romania with over 10 km of walkways between them .

 

 

 

 

2. The tallest rock sculpture in Europe 42 m in height and 31 m in width is located near the town of Orsova along the Danube river, depicting Decebalus, the last Dacian king. The statue can be properly seen only from the river.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3.The Merry Cemetery located in Sapanta, a village in the northern part of Romania is by far the happiest cemetery in the world. 4. The Palace of the Parliament located in Bucharest is the largest administrative building in the world with a height of 84 m, an area of 365,000 m2 and having a volume of 2,550,000 m. 5. Romania is the richest country of Europe in terms of gold reserves, in the last 2000 years from Apuseni Mountains have been extracted around 1.750.000 kilograms of gold and the same amount still exists in the ground still. Also in Brad is the only gold museum in Europe.
